Congrats and next up!

Dear 3rd Grade,

Congratulations on a job well done.  I challenged you all and you rose to the occasion and I could not be more proud!  Pat yourselves on the back for that performance.

2nd Grade! You're up next... lets put on a great show :)

3rd Grade Concert General Reminders

Hello Third Grade Parents!

Just some general reminders that the doors will open for our Concert on Tuesday. December 11 at 6:45.

-Students can head to their HOMEROOMS, but take their coats... since they will NOT be reporting back to their homerooms after the performance :)

-Our Concert attire is white on top and black on bottom.   Please use your best discretion as your child will be performing and please know that I am very flexible with outfits!  So no need to go all out!  Unless of course you want to :)

-During the day, the third grade class will be performing for their peers at school.  During that performance they DO NOT need to where their black and white.

-Our concert should run about a half hour in length and will start promptly at 7 PM.

Email me if you have any other questions :)

Cant wait to see you there!

Attention Second Grade Parents!

We are collecting sand paper (old and new, smaller grain but most will do), for our sand block ensemble for our January concert!  If you are willing to contribute please send it in in a zip lock bag with your child's name on it!  More information on this will be sent home in the coming weeks!

Welcome Back!

I am so excited to begin a new year at Woods Road School with our wonderful community!  I hope you all enjoyed your summer.  I had a lovely trip to the Amalfi Coast!  It was a blast.

Some important dates going into the school year are as follows:

Kindergarten Concert - March 26, 2019
1st Grade Concert - February 26, 2019
2nd Grade Concert - January 22, 2019
3rd Grade Concert - December 11, 2018
4th Grade Concert - May 7, 2019

FOURTH GRADE PARENTS:  Your students will be playing recorder this year.  Recorders will be distributed to students after Back to School Night (so you can get some information from me first), and then you will see your student begin bringing it home a few weeks later.  Students will also be given a practice book to be kept at home in a safe space, as they will have one available to them in class.

Again, welcome back and I look forward to sharing the joys of music with our WRS family!

Welcome to the 2017-2018 School year!  I am looking forward to sharing the joy of music with our students!

Our Third grade class has already begun preparing for their concert on December 14th!  We look forward to seeing you all their for our 7 PM performance (students arrive at 6:45).  Information regarding the concert will be coming home with students including a permission slip, call time information, and concert attire.

Fourth grade has received their recorders and they have been working diligently on their technique before they bring them home to practice!  Inside the recorder case is a blue sheet of paper that parents can review for basic information regarding caring for the instrument.

As other grade level concerts approach, be sure to check back here for information and updates about our students progress in the music classroom.

Please feel free to email me with any questions regarding music class this year at
